 Autumn TCG Regionals - Oct 4th and Oct 5th, 2014

at the Pennsylvania Convention Center, Philadelphia, PA

Format:  

For all age groups:


The Swiss section of the TCG tournament will be using Standard format. 
Best-of-three Swiss rounds will have a time limit of 50 minutes plus three turns. 

The Top cuts and Day 2 format will be using Expanded format.
The card sets included within Standard and Expanded are listed below.  

New players please note that the Standard format deck you use in the Main Swiss part of the tournament can also be used in the Expanded part of the tournament (if you make the playoffs).
Expected Schedule: 
Based on last year's attendance numbers, we expect the following schedule:
Juniors:  Swiss rounds and top cut on Day 1 (Saturday, October 4)
Seniors: Swiss rounds on Day 1 (Sat., October 4) and Top 4/8 on Day 2 (Sunday, October 5)
Masters: Swiss rounds on Day 1 using Standard format, Swiss rounds and Top 8 on Day 2 using Expanded on Day 2


Registration:

Registration will be 8:00am to 9:00am. players meeting at 9:30am

Pre-registration for this event is now available on-line. You will be able to pre-register and print out a entry ticket. This will avoid the need to wait in line.   Pre-registration can be used by Juniors, Seniors, and Masters.  To pre-register you will need your POP id and a valid email.  Everyone who pre-registers for the TCG Regionals will receive a special custom Regional dice.  Please be sure to print out your pre-registration ticket and bring it with you to the event.  This will be a great help to us in getting the event started on time.

All participants will receive 3 Play! Points, and a Pokémon Regional Championships promo card (while supplies last), just for playing!


Three age groups:

Junior Division: Born in 2004 or later

Senior Division: Born in 2000, 2001, 2002, or 2003
Masters Division: Born in 1999 or earlier

Players bring their decks with them. Each deck needs to have exactly 60 cards, with no more than 4 of any card except basic energy cards.


The Standard format for the 2015 season will consist of the following expansions:

Players bring their decks with them. Each deck needs to have exactly 60 cards, with no more than 4 of any card except basic energy cards.


Starting on September 3, the new Expanded format will be joining the familiar Standard format as a legal option for sanctioned Pokémon TCG events of all sizes. This new format will allow players to use all expansions from Black & White on, so players will have even more options when designing a winning deck! Players should double-check what format is being used before deciding which deck to bring to their local events.

Decklists are required.
We will have blank decklists at the event. However, it is always a good idea to complete your decklist ahead of time.  There are several websites that can assist you with this process.
